the unit is good except i have not been able to get the gps to work and that is the only reason for this purchase. i will retract this review as soon as i get help on working the gps. i did find the hidden place that the card goes in so i’m still confused. it is also a little sketchy that there is not a brand on the box or unit anywhere. ??? please help because i can’t go to the manufacture either when i don’t know who makes it.

i received good help and the unit is working properly and is very user friendly.
the touch screen works great. the small card of the two cards that come with the unit goes in a hidden location on the top left side of the unit that is tricky and not described in the manual. mine was in the slot and eventually worked great.

I have had the stereo installed for 2 days.
It has a cooling fan which is loud and constantly on.
The user interface is slow, leading to double presses because you are not sure if it is responding.
The navigation program takes a minute or longer to load.
Radio only plays when you are in the radio program. It will not play while in the main menu or navigation program.
The LCD failed twice. Pressing the reset button fixes it, but loses all changes you made, like saved radio stations.
Manual is just some photocopied pages stapled together. It is missing information like where to put media on an SD card.
I put some mp3′s on an SD card, but it never found anything. It just stayed on the “media player loading” screen for 10 minutes until I quit it.
The return policy is useless. If you have installed it enough to test it, they won’t take it back.
When asked simple questions like how to update the map data for GPS they cannot say. And the manual also doesn’t say.
Stay away from these cheap stereos. The feature list seems impressive, but usability is terrible.
GPS wasn’t working today, not sure why.
They are willing to take back a product with a 20% restocking fee if it is still in resalable condition.
Unfortunately, you will most likely need to cut wires to test/install it because they do not provide a cable adapter.
I had the wire harness for my car, but the connector for the stereo has a black plug which I could not find an adapter for.
I bought this directly from shopcuscus, not amazon.

I ordered this player in November 2009 and installed it in January 2010. By the second week of March 2010 the TFT flip up display would not come out and flip up. It wasn’t dropped and was installed by a professional. Also, it gets rather hot. The cooling system could use a little work. Other than those issues it works and has good qualities.
